All Love People, Do Good Candle Co. candles are poured in small batches in Nashville, Tennessee, the rising star of the South! We do all of our label design, scent creation, and packaging in house. I customize each candle with a unique blend of natural and fragrance oils...kinda like an old-school alchemist, minus the crazy. The candles are made with an eco-friendly soy wax that not only looks gorgeous, but burns cleanly. We only use soy wax because (unlike paraffin which is a petroleum byproduct), it’s a natural, renewable resource. It cleans up easily with soap + water and is healthier for you and the environment.
My goal was to design a candle that was eco-friendly, smelled amazing, and was pretty to look at. Mixing modern, rustic, and farmhouse styles is my jam (does anyone say that anymore?). So I designed clean, black and white labels for the modern element and paired them with apothecary jars and classic, black lids to infuse a bit of farmhouse style. It’s a beautiful marriage of laid back + tidy and as an added bonus: they blend in perfectly in any decor.
About the companyWe chose the name Love People, Do Good Candle Co. because it represents our hope that we all personify the best in ourselves and respect that in others. We want to use our brand to cultivate a following that shares these ideals, and hope you’ll join us! We’re so happy to bring a little light into your home. About meHello, I’m Adam Hayes, candle maker, dog lover, and scent creator. I believe in the old adage that “anything worth doing is worth doing right”. The best summation of this is that I didn’t really cook for the first half of my life, but now I LOVE it. Not only do I find it relaxing, but I’m pretty damn good at it (if I do say so myself).
My love of scents began as the Fragrance Manager of a retail store. It wasn’t the direction I expected for myself, but once I got into it, I found the subtle nuances of these fragrances amazing. Not only the unique blends, but also in how they worked with individual’s unique chemistry and lifestyles.
I began my personal exploration of scents by creating custom perfumes at my and my husbands decor store. Shortly after, one of my favorite candle companies closed their doors. My initial response was to stock up on all my favorite scents. As these jars began to dwindle, I decided that I should use my expertise to create my own line.
This is what led to the creation of Love People, Do Good Candle Co. at the end of 2020. I’ve created some great blends that I think you’ll love (including some cozy winter scents... for all of you that have a faux tree, but miss the natural scent). In addition to all the crazy scents that I’ve concocted in my head, I also love working with friends and family to make their scent ideas come to fruition. I’m so excited for you to try my current blends, and for all the future will bring.
